Microsoft
has officially started rolling out its latest Windows 10 Creators Update to
users worldwide following months of beta testing. On the face of it, the
Windows 10 Creators Update might not seem like a significant update, but when
you look inside, there are a lot of new things that add up to a much better
user experience.
In
this tutorial, we will walk you through the 5 best new features of Windows 10
Creators Update.
1.
Game Mode
Game
Mode is one of the most noticeable additions to Windows 10. As the name
suggests, the mode focuses on improving performance for game tasks on your
computer. Basically, once enabled, Game Mode will prevent background tasks and
apps from stealing resources from your make, thus making sure that the game
runs smoothly on your computer.
Aside
from Game Mode, the Creators Update also brings Beam streaming to the Xbox app
on Windows 10. This allows you to easily
stream your gaming sessions with your friends and followers.
2.
Picture-in-Picture mode
Picture-in-Picture
is not a new concept, as it has existed for a while on Android and iOS. With
the Creators Update, Microsoft is finally adding Picture-in-Picture to its Universal
Windows Apps on Windows 10. Basically, you now can watch a film or TV Show on
Microsoft’s built-in Movies & TV
app while you are typing and clicking away.
3.
Night Light
With
the Windows 10 Creators Update, Microsoft has introduced a new feature called
Night Light. Basically, Night Light allows you to adjust your screen’s color
temperature and make it much easier for nighttime computer sessions. In
reality, Night Light is not something revolutionary, as it has been available
on iOS since the days of iOS 9.3.
4.
Dynamic lock
Dynamic
lock is among the best highlights of the Windows 10 Creators Update. With
Dynamic Lock, you will have a brand new way to lock your computer when you are
away from it. Basically, Dynamic Lock can automatically lock your Windows 10 PC
when your Bluetooth devices go out of range.
5.
Paint 3D
With
the Creators Update, Microsoft has built its own Paint 3D app. In reality, the
app serves as a 3D version of Microsoft’s stock Paint app, and it allows you to
build 3D objects that can be shared to the Remix 3D site.
